Your Douceur Journey Begins Here
Start with free lessons on YouTube, and be the first to know when the online Douceur School opens.
What is Douceur?
Douceur is a slow, close-embrace partner dance, born from a mix of tarraxinha and urban kiz, rooted in conscious connection and presence. Think of it as a standing meditation: micromovements, stillness within closeness, and a quality of touch and musicality that asks you to slow down and explore the finer details of dance and body movement
In Douceur we do step but it's not about mastering steps quickly or looking a certain way. It's about learning to truly feel your partner, yourself, and the music in ways you may not have explored before through captivating body movements and music that moves your soul.
With Douceur you can’t see much from the outside but you can feel everything from the inside! A good Douceur Dance is one of the most incredible experiences you’ll ever have!
Below you will find a collection of free videos designed to begin your Douceur Journey, along with options on how you can go deeper into this beautiful dance.

Who is this For?
Douceur is for anyone curious about partner dance, whatever your experience level. A basic level of Fusion Kiz can help but is not a prerequisite. There's no performance pressure here, we begin by mastering the feeling before the steps.
Complete beginners wanting a gentle, low-pressure way into partner dance
Experienced Kiz dancers looking to slow down and deepen their connection and musicality, rather than add more steps
Anyone drawn to the meditative, present-moment quality of moving closely with another person
Solo learners starting with the free lessons, and anyone wanting to go further with a private session or the upcoming online school
No partner needed to start. Many people begin by watching the free lessons alone, then bring what they've learned into a private session or on to the social dance floor. Perfect for solo learners and pairs.
